'VARSITY TOURNAMENT. TEAM FOR EASTER CARNIVAL. The finals of the Auckland University College championships were held in the college hall last evening. The officials for last evening's contests were: —Referee, Mr. Neil McLean; announcer, Mr. W. Dervan: timekeepers, Messrs. W. Luke and A. Fagan. Plant, Ost 31b. Lightweight.—C. .Tones, lOst, beat J. D. Foote, 9st 91b. Final: R. .T. MeKearney, 9st 131b, beat J. D. Foote, 9st 91b. Welter-weight.—Final: C. J. Follock, lOst 61b, beat N. J. Hudson, lOst 51b, In the second round. Middle-weight.—Final : S. G. Stevenson, list 41b, beat J. A. Mulgan, list 41b. Heavy-weight.—Finnl : 3. D. Colestor, 12st 41b, beat A. P. Black, 12st 21b, after a scrambling bout. The team to represent Auckland at the Kaster inter-university tournament was subsequently selected :—Bantam-weight, F. K. Malcolm; feather-weight, C. C. Steele: lightweight. J. R. MeKearney or F. C. Jones; welter-weight, C. .T. Follock; middleweight, .T. A. Mulgan; light-heavy-weight. W. L. Bnrbor; heavy-weight, J. D. Colester or ,T. Bowline. Tn the middle-weight division Stevenson was not eligible, as ho is a ilrst-year student.
