LAWN TENNIS.
NO INDIAN DAVIS CUP TEAM. CALCUTTA, March 28. India Is not sending a Davis Cup team this year owing to lack of funds, and no players resident In the English Universities of Davis Cup class being available. The position Iμ regarded as humiliating to Indian tennis enthusiasts, nnd it is suggested that funds might in future be raised by a championship competition in India on the lines of the Wimbledon tournament.
A SCHOOLS' TOURNAMENT. A tennis tournament was played on the W.iimauku courts on Wednesday, Huapai School v. Wnimnuku School. Out of 24 sets played Waimauku won 16 and Huapai S. A return game is to be played at Huapai shortly.
