PILLOW FIGHT AGAIN BEATEN. DOUBTFUL STARTER ON SUNDAY. AGUA CALIENTE, March 29. The New Zealand racehorse Pillow Fight became a very doubtful starter in the Agua Caliente Handicap next Sunday after he failed to do better than run fifth in the preparatory race to-day at one mile and a sixteenth. The event was Won by Lovers All in 1.44 4-5. C. Morse, Pillow Fight's trainer, has advised the owner, Mr. p. J. Davis, in San Francisco, to scratch Pillow Fight, eaying the horse in not in good condition after his trip from New Zealand. " I know he is a good horse, but he simply is not himself," said Morse. "It is too much of a task to try to bring him around to his best form from between January 24, when he arrived here, and the time of the big race. Pillow Fight lost condition on the trip from New Zealand, and has not regained all his weight. " I want to give the horse, eight weeks' rest and train him again. You will hear from that horse later in the year. We will be back next year." Morse said that Mr. Davis was inclined to follow his recommendation, but wanted to think it over.
