MORTGAGORS' RELIEF.
REQUEST FOR APPOINTMENT.
COMPLEXITY OF THE LAW.

WELLINGTON, Tuesday.
It is understood that considerable difficulty is being experienced in interpreting the various Acts dealing with relief for mortgagors, and the feeling is growing in some quarters that some action should be taken by the Government to overcome the difficulty.
The request has been made to the Government by interested parties that a temporary judge should be appointed to deal with, the position.
Questioned to-day, the Minister of Justice, the Hon. J. G. Cobbe, said the Government had not yet reached any decision as to the appointment of a temporary judge. In the event of the Government deciding to do so,, it would be for Mr. Forbes, in his capacity of Attorney-General, to make the appointi ment. . „ ,„, -
