THE WRITERS' CLUB.
Holiday incidents were read at the first meeting for the year of the Writers' Club. : Mrs. Richmond presided, in the absence of Mrs. Cluett, who is away on holiday at Piha, West Coast. "Manhandled," Mrs. Doust's story, which, won the "Ajrt in New Zealand" prize: for 1932,. was read and greatly appreciated by her fellow members. Mrs. Evans and Misses Dulcy Bauman and Margaret Harvey, new members, werif welcomed to the club in a charming speech by Mrs. Richmond.
