GARDEN PARTY.
A delightful garden party was given on Saturday by Miss R. G. S. Potts, at lier residence, Aratonga Avenue, One Tree Hill. The extensive gardens were looking a picture after the heavy rain, the coloured borders of flowers • adding a riotous tono to the green lawns. For the guests' entertainment, a small group of dancers, wearing pastel coloured frocks, danced fairy and elfish numbers to music, supplied by Madamo Edith Baird, and the two little folk as Pierrot and :Pierette, were enthusiastically recalled. Also given on the lawn were dances of exercises, based on Greek lines, groups of folk dances, Old English and Spanish items. On a small black platform Mr. Norman Kerr gave an exhibition of Greek poses, representing Hercules, Disculres,• and several other features. A delicious tea was served under the trees. The hostess received her "guests in a frock of floral green flamingo silk, and Baku hat. Among those preselnt were: Mesdames Chapman, J. Watt, Renton Watt, Mirams, Guiver, Bull, Wilson, Crawford Young, Fullerton, Cato, Dobby, Donaldson, Edgar Randall, Lightfoot, Norman Kerr, Lambourne, Wrigley, - Murray, Metford, Misses Darling, Foskett, K. Smith,, Bull (2), Wright, Sutherland, Dobby, Taylor, R. Gurr, M.. Strakcr, Ewing, Betty Young, Barbara Stevens, Nora O'Halloran, Edith . Graham, Thelma Arnold, Irene Eyres, Edith Graham, Enid Kelly, Bertha Zolier.
