BIG PROPERTY DEAL. Sydney Newspaper Building Purchased. FIGURE NEAR £100,000. (.United r.A.—Electric Telegraph—Copjrish*) (Received 12.30 p.m.) SYDNEY, this clay. A four-storey building with basement on King Street, Sydney, formerly occupied by Sydney "Truth," was sold for a sum in the vicinity of £100,000 to Jlr. William McCabe, of Napier, New Zealand. The property is almost opposite the original "Daily Telegraph" building, which, it is understood here, was recently sold to the same buyer. Inquiries made at Auckland this morning elicited the information that Mr. J. W. S. McArthur, of Auckland, who recently purchased the "Daily Telegraph" building at the corner of King and Castlereagh Streets, Sydney, is in no way interested in the purchase of tlio '■Truth' , Building. Mr. McArthiir said that he understood negotiations for tho purchase of the building at £00,000 were in progress a few weeks ago. It is understood that the frontage of the ■'Truth" Building is only 44ft, but that the depth is in the vicinity of 200 ft.
