INDIA CONFERENCE.
POWERS OF GOVERNORS. (British Official Wireless.) (Received 12.30 p.m.) RUGBY, November 30. Discussion of the special powers and responsibilities of the Governor-General and Governors continued at the third Indian Round Table Conference in London to-day. It is generally agreed that powers must be granted to the Governor-General to carry out effectively the responsibilities entrusted to him, including powers to take immediate action to meet any emergency that might arise.
