De Valera Leaves Geneva to Face Serious Problems. RAILWAY CRISIS. ("Times" Cables.) LONDON, November 30. Tho President of the Irish Free State, Mr. de Valera, has returned to Dublin from Geneva to face some pressing problems. The most important of these is the railway crisis, which is rapidly developing toward a strike owing to the 5 5-8 per cent cut in wages. It is suggested that the railwaymen, as economic war casualties, should receive a portion of the £2,000,000 emergency fund; thus the Government would bear part of the cut. The latest trade figures for the Free State show an adverse balance this year of £15,777,000, or £3,000,000 worse than last year.
