TAKAPUNA DANCE.

■ It lias become eo much the custom for the Takapuna-Bayswater Boating Club to hold a dance on the fifth of November that it is almost a tradition. So at the invitation of the commodore, flag officers and committee a large number ol dancers assembled at the clubhouse, Bayswater, on Saturday evening, ihe commodore, Mr. *H. G. Carr, and Mrs. Carr, with Mrs. Ward, the secretary, acted as host and hostesses. The ladies on the committee were Mesdamcs Oarr, Ward, Deacon, Williamson, Inkster, Braund, Verron, Wilson, Preston-Thoinae, Bach and Mies Marjorie Ward. Ibe supper tables were decorated witji bowk of "thrift" or eea-pink, with streamers of pink, white and blue. Amongst the dancers were:— Mrs. u.
