ELLERSLIE FROCKS.

TAILORED SUITS POPULAR. The cloudy morning and the sharp tang in the air prevented the appearance of many light-weight spring models at Ellerslie to-day, when the Auckland Racing Club held their second day's racing 'of the spring meeting. The tailored suit was most in evidence, anu very smart it looked in the newest shades. In nearly every case boater hats accompanied this mode, and the season's trimmings were seen in the simplicity of ribbon bands in toning 'colours. Cherry red was a favourite colour for both ensembles and hats, and this dashing colour supplied a bright note to the whole scene. The well-dressed woman recognises the importance of accessories to her ensemble, and in this line a number of chic bags, shoes and gloves were to be seen.
