SWIMMING CERTIFICATES.
CHARGE FOR SCHOOL CHILDREN. CHRISTCHURCH, Thursday. Owing to the withdrawal of the Government grant, the council of the New Zealand Amateur Swimming Association has decided to make a charge of 6d in future for swimming certificates to school children. Provision is to be made if possible to meet the cases of children whose parents are not in a position to pay.
