THEFT OF £79 ALLEGED. STATEMENT BY POLICE. (By Telegraph.—Press DUNEDIN, this day. In the Magistrate's Court to-day Gordon Campbell, postmaster at North Dunedin, was charged with stealing'£79, the property of the Government. He was remanded till November U. The police stated that when the audit inspector went to examine the books the accused admitted before the auditor started his work that he had misappropriated the money.
