INTEREST REDUCED.
NEW FIXED DEPOSITS RATE. (Received 11 a.m.) MELBOURNE, this day. The trading banks have adopted reduced interest rates on fixed depoeits as was announced by the Commonwealth Bank last week, namely: Three months, 2J per cent; six months, 2J; 12 months, 3; two years, 3J. The rate of interest on fixed* deposits hae fallen 2 per cent in the last 1C months.
