SHIPPING SUBSIDY.
ASSISTANCE FOR TASMANIA. (Received 10.30 a.m.) CANBERRA, this day. . It is understood that the Government lias decided to grant a subsidy of £0000 a year to the Huddart Parker Line for an all-year service between Sydney, and Hobart. This will help the apple trade, which is responsible for 500,000 tonnage requirements, but is not sufficient to meet the needs advanced by graziere and other organisations in Tasmania.
