ALLEGED THEFT OF MEAT. TWO MEN REMANDED. Charged with stealing a rump and loin of beef, valued at £1 18/, belonging to E. and W. Hellaby, Ltd., on August 24, John Archibald Miller (48), butcher, and Patrick Francis McAnnalley (27), appeared before Mr... W. R. McKean, S.M., in the Police Court this morning. "A lot of inquiries have yet to be made by detectives concerning this case," said Detective Sergeant Kelly, in obtaining remands until Monday next. Miller and McAnnalley, for whom Mr. K. C. Aekins appeared, were allowed bail in the sum of £50.
