TECHNICAL OLD BOYS' CLUB.

The annual dinner of the Technical Old Boys' Rugby Football Club was held on Saturday night, there being a large attendance of members and supporters. Tlie president. Mr. R. H. Cooper, was in the chair. The Auckland Rugby Union was represented by Mr. A. A. Baker, tlie Referees' Association by Mr. C. F. Paull, the Seddon Memorial Technical College by Dr. G. P. O'Shannassy (a past master), the Wanganui Technical College Old Boys' Association by Messrs. D. C. S. Taylor and A. McKillop, and the Technical Athletic Club by Mr. S. J. Gudseil. Representatives of other clubs in Auckland also attended. In responding to the toast of the club, the chairman congratulated the various teams on the manner they had played the game, although not meeting with tlie success of previous years. Messrs. Baker and Paull also congratulated the club, the first named impressing on players the necessity for hard training if they desired to meet with success. Among the toasts honoured were:—"The Auckland Rugby Union," proposed by Mr. Vic. Badeley and responded to by Mr. A. A. Baker; "The Referees," proposed by Mr. M. Grant and responded to by Mr. C. F. Paull; "The Club," proposed by Dr. G. P. O'Shannassy and responded to by Mr. R. H. Cooper; "Visitors nnd Kindred Clubs," proposed by Mr. E. Blow and responded to by Mr. S. J. Gudseil. Caps won by senior members were presented by the chairman and Mr. Baker presented ,T. L. Nelson with his representative cap. An enjoyable programme was rendered by the following:—Messrs. R. Rushen, E. Black. C. J. Morris and the Paramount Band. Mr. E. Bell was accompanist.
