NEW RELIEF SCHEME.
STRONG PROTEST MADE,
(By Telegraph.—rress Association.) WAIPUKURAU, this day. A largely - attended representative meeting of the unemployed, citizens, the Borough Council and the Chamber of Commerce last night passed a resolution strongly protesting against the new scheme of relief, and demanding the same monthly aggregate pay as applied to city workers. The meeting also protested against compulsory camps for married men, and asked the Government to publish details of the board's receipts and expenditure.
