AUCKLAND AFFAIRS. COMMITTEES APPOINTED. The following tournament committees were elected at a meeting of delegates to the Auckland Lawn Tennis Association last evening:—Auckland championships : Messrs. E. W. Griffiths, D. G. Mncfnrlane. A. C. Johns, J. Harrison, P. Harrison, L. Williamson, S. Lamb, F. C. Ellis, A. K. Turner, A. Brockett. Auckland handicap tournament: Messrs. D. G. Macfarlane, L. Williamson. C. Warren, E. D. Robins, S. Bates, J. Paul. C. R. Reader, J. Harrison, P. Potter. Third grade and outer suburban : Messrs. 11. McGinley, E. D. Robins, V. Barfoot, J. McLaren, J. H. Upton, K.- W. Griffiths, L. Williamson, K. Kay, C. Stevens.

The chairman, Mr. R. B. Hardy, reported that no statement could be made regarding the visit of an American team, as arrangements had not yet been finalised.

The Thames Valley Association and the Melrose Park Club were affiliated, a special vote of thanks being accorded Mr. Hardy and Mr. E. W. Orifflths for their work in connection with securing the re-affiliation of Thames Valley.

Mr. F. J. Olilson brought un the question of the coaching of juifiors. The chairman pointed out that the association was always prepared to arrange visits, lectures or exhibitions on request. The chairman advised the following championship dates Wellington. Deccmher 26, 27, 28; Auckland. January 25, 2(5. 27, 20, 30; Wanganui, January 2. 3, 4; Taranaki, January 4, f>. 6, 7; Manawatu, December 27, 28,' 29, 30.
