MUNICIPAL GOLF LINKS.
For some rears Wellington has set us a lead in the matter of a municipal golf links, and considering the growth of the game in Auckland and the facilities available we. cotim surely follow suit here. I understand tnat the proposition has always more than paid ns way in the Windy City, so there could J* no serious opposition on the financial swe. There are many keen golfers who can only spare an occasional Saturday for their game, and flor the amount of golf they actually play six or seven guineas per annum seems rather out of proportion. I should like to fee others similarly placed taking this matter up seriously, as it would help the game along, ana, incidentally, provide considerable employment; during the construction of the links.
