DICKENS FELLOWSHIP.
Tlie Auckland branch of the Dickens Fellowship held its fortnightly meeting in the League of Pcnwonien's rooms on Thursday, Mrs. Kenneth Goi'don presiding over ;i large attendance. As tlie dale was the sixty-second anniversary of the death of Charles Dickens members stood in silence for a few moments as a tribute to the memory of t'ne famous author. The programme, which was in the hands of Mrs. C. Wolsteneroft. took the audience a further stage in the study of "Great Expectations." Mrs. Wolstenoroft was assisted with readings by Messrs. W. E. Arey, Townley Little ami C. Wolstencroft. As Mr. and Mrs. Wolstencroft intend shortly to leave for England, opportunity was taken by the president to present them with an illustrated volume of "David Copperfield" ae a token of esteem.
