THE PROVINCIAL COUNCIL. ELECTION 08 , OFFICERS. The annual conference of the provincial council of the Auckland Agricultural and Pastoral Association was held yesterday, the president, Mr. W. F. Mitchell, being in the chair. Measuring horses.—A remit brought forward by the Auckland A. and P. Association advocating that horses competing in show classes where size was specified should be measured without any allowance being made for shoes was approved. It was felt that the conference should determine the matter and make it uniform throughout the country. It was decided to forward the remit to the North Island conference, to be held next week. Officers Elected.—The following officers were elected for the ensuing year: President, Mr. W. F. Mitchell; vice-presidents, Messrs. E. L. Schischka (North Island), R. C. Clark (South Island); executive committee. Messrs. 11. E. Kissling (Franklin), D. M. Bryan (Clevodon), C. Goosman (Hamilton), G. D. Farley (Kumeu); .secretary' and treasurer, Mr. W. F. O'DonnelL
