HOTEL AUCTIONED.
PAKNELIi ROAD PROPERTY. BOUGHT IN FOII £12,350. A licensed hotel, the Windsor Castle, in Parnell Eoad, was offered for sale at. jmblic auction yesterday afternoon. Local auctioneers and land agents have no recollection of ii similar auction in Auckland. The hotel was bought in by a mortgagee, Mr. M. L. Gleeson, for £12,350. A two-storeyed brick building on freehold property, the hotel was auctioned by Mr. K. Squirrcll. There was a fair attendance at the sale, but the bidding, which opened at £10,000, was quiet. A number of £100 bids increased the price to £12,300, but at £12,350 the hotel, which changed hands a few years ago for £20,000, was bought in.
