WEDDINGS OF THE DAY.

St. Mark's Church, Remuera, was the scene of a very pretty and popular wedI ding la3t evening, when Miss Alcyone H. Cowdellj younger daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Levy, Whahgarei. was married to Mr. E. Cumming, younger son of Mr. and Mrs. W. Cumming, Mount Eden. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. G. C. Cruickshank, assisted by the Rev. H. WingfiekL The wedding music was played by Mr. Pascoe. The bride, who was given away by Mr. Geo. Levy, looked charming in an ankle-length frock of ivory georgette over satin. The sleeveless bodice was shirred at the waist, and finished with small bows. Around the hem of the full-panelled skirt was a design of white satin arum lilies and leaves in applique. Her beautifully worked veil fell from a tightfitting cap of silver lace, with an orange blossom spray. She carried a fan-shaped .bouquet- of early spring flowers, with touches of pink. The bride's attendants were Miss Zoe Lamane (Whangarei), and Miss Isabel MeGinley. They were frocked alike in palest sea green and tea-rose sprigged taffetas respectively. Their large hats, featuring the new yedda straw, were finished with satin rosettes to tone. They carried beautiful shower bouquets. The bridegroom was attended bv Mr. Norman Pirritt as best man, and Mr. Hush Cowdell, as groomsman. A reception was held later at the Domain Kiosk where about a hundred guests were-entertained. Mrs. Captain Gibbons (aunt "of the bride), acted as hostess, owin* to the indisposition of the bride's mother. She received the guests wearing a> handsome black satin royale eoatume with a smart black and white toque. Her bouquet was of scarlet carnations. The bridegroom's mother wore a beige wool georgette ensemble, with a smart black -hat -* contrast. She earned a bouquet c; autumn flowers. '
