BENEFIT DANCE.
Scots Hall was well filled last evening when a benefit dance in aid of the unemployed women and girls of Auckland was given by the Auckland women's branch of the New Zealand Labour party. The energetic president was Mrs. J. Harrison, assisted by Mrs. H. Martin, vice-presi-dent; Mrs. A. M. Cassie, secretary; Mrs. J. Maguiness, treasurer; Miss M. Nolan, I.R.C. officer. The hall was nicely decorated, and excellent music was rendered by St. Thomas' orchestra, under the baton of Mr. J. Ewart. Mrs. Harrison wore a brown crepe de chine and pink embroidered wrap; Mrs. H. Martin, was in cinnamon brown georgette, trimmed with embossed chenille; Mrs. A. M. Cassie, black 1 crepe de chine; Mrs. A. Maguiness, brown marocain; Miss Nolan, almond green georgette, maroon and green brocaded chenille coatee; Mrs. W. T. Anderton, gold embossed georgette; Mrs. J. G. Lee, green taffeta; Mrs. C. W. Moore, champagne georgette; Mrs. R. McMasters, mauve taffeta; Mrs. H. Nicholls, black georgette: Mrs. H. Hopensee, apple green net; Mrs. CottingJjam, blue lace; Mrs. G. Richards, black georgette; Miss V. Wilson, apple gre*n georgette; Miss C. Allen, lavender frilled taffeta; Miss P. Taberner, pink taffeta; Miss P. Smith, lemon georgette; Miss C. Darbyshire, blue crepe de chine: Miss D. Martin, white georgette; Miss G. Blair, pink georgette; Miss D. Patara, white sequin georgette; Miss C. Salt, red crepe de chine; Miss D. Lawler. apricot lace; Miss G. Edwards, apple green georgette; Miss M. Cottingham, flame beaded georgette.
