ATTACK ON WIFE.
MAORI COMMITS SUICIDE. WOMAN IN HOSPITAL. BROKEN ARM AXD BRUISES. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WAXGAXUI, this day. A Maori named Nikorika, of Koiiniti, on the Wanganui River, attacked hi* wife with a piece of wood lust night and then cut his own throat. The man died, but the woman survived. With a broken arm and bruises the latter was brought to the Wanganui Hospital. Koroniti is about 40 milee from Wanganui and ie situated in rough country. Nikorika is alleged to have been touring with a company which is making a Maori cinema film.
