STOWAWAYS ON WAHINE.
TWO MEN" IN WEIMNGTON. MAKING FOR WAIRARAPA. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Wednesday. Leonard Kennedy, aged 40, labourer, and Henry Wilson (53), labourer, were each fined £2 to-day for stowing away on the Wahine at Lyttelton yesterday. They said they had no money and had walked from Christchurch to Lyttelton. They thought that once they got to the North Island they would get-work in Wairarapa. The magistrate refused time to find the money, but' said the police would give the men facilities to get money from friends if possible. Default was fixed at seven days.
