FALSE PRETENCES CHARGE.
Thomas Connolly, aged 31, labourer, appeared before Mr. Isaac Lomas, J.P., at the Onehunga Police Court yesterday charged with false pretences. In asking ror a remand until Monday, which was granted, Sergeant S. A. Brown said that about April 3 Connolly represented to a man named William Widdison that he was the adopted son of Mr. Mcintosh, a wealthy resident of Hast- . ings, with a view to obtaining money or i other advantage from Widdison. Other ! charges were pending.
