There were medium yardings of all classes of stock at Dalgety and Company s fortnightly stock sale held at the Matamata yards on Wednesday. Prices were. Beef.—Medium fat cows, £4 to £4 18/; others, £2 15/ to £35/; fat heifers, up to £5 7/6; big-framed store cows, £1 13/ to £2; Jersey cows, £1 2/ to £1 10/; empty Jersey heifers, two years, £1 5/ ■to £1 10/; well-grown, good-conditioned Jersey and Jersey-cross heifer calves, up t0 Dairy 6/ Cattle.—Well-grown heifers, in calf, close to profit, £6 15/ to £7 15/; backward heifers, £5 to £6; cows, close to profit, £4 10/ to £5 15/; backward cows, £2 5/ to £3 15/; others, £1 10/ to £ pigs^— Sows, in pig, close to profit, £3 2/6 to £5; weaners, up to 11/; small slips, UP Sheep?— Good fat wethers, 13/6; forward wethers, 9/; lambs, up to 9/8; full-mouth ewes in lamb to Southdown rams, 7/.
