RELIEF WORKERS.
. ASSOCIATION AT HENDERSON. Approximately 80 men employed on works under, scheme No. 5 at Henderson have banded themselves together under the name of the Henderson Relief Workers' Association. The executive consists of Mr. J. H. Molony, president, Messrs. A. Eason, A. Morey, secretary, F. H. Murphy, T. G. Vincent, H. F. Waugh and T. S. Webb. The objects of the association are .to further the interests of their members where possible, to ensure' that proper investigations are made with respect to applicants for relief work, so avoiding injustice to any, and to foster the spirit of comradeship by eocial intercourse. Members discussed the merits o f cases adjudicated by the Government inspector, but it was decided to defer any representations until the full facts have been ascertained. It was resolved to forward to the Prime Minister a protest regarding the proposal to increaeo the levy in its present form and to suggest that the earliest possible steps be taken to place it on a graduated scale.
