HEATED MOMENTS.
MINISTER INTERVIEWED.
• . , POLICE OUTSIDE DOOR. (By Telegraph.—Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, this day. There were some heated moments during a deputation from the Unemployed Workers' Federation which waited on the Minister of Labour, the Hon. S. G. Smith, at noon to-day, regarding aspects of the unemployment problem. A sergeant and constable remained on duty outside the Minister's door during the proceedings. At one Stage the Minister threatened to have one of the speakers ejected, but he did not do so. In the course of his reply the Minister eaid all of the points raised were being taken into consideration in the preparation of the Government's amending legislation.
