FOOTBALLERS HURT.
AMBULANCE KEPT BUSY. The St. John Ambulance had a large number of football casualties to attend to on Saturday afternoon. Several players were taken to the Auckland Hospital, the whole four of the ambulance vans being engaged on one occasion. Playing for the Eden Rugby Club at Point' Chevalier, G. Bamett, of 9, Kingsland Terrace, received fractured ribs; 0. Munyard, of 1, Seymour Street, Ponsonbv, suffered a dislocated shoulder while playing for a Parnell Rugby team; S. C. Whitehead, of 9, Downing Street, Grey Lynn, and a member of the City senior Rugby team, had his left leg broken, and an eye injury was suffered by W. Maddren", of 32, Collingwood Street, Ponsonbv. while playing for the Grafton fifth grade Rugby team. Playing for Newton League seniors, A. Porteous, of 3, Wallingford Street, Grey Lynn, suffered severe concussion; a dislocated shoulder was received by T. Smith, of 20, Karaka Street, Newton, a member of the Ponsonbv League team; W. McLoughlin, of 5, Marlborough Street, Dominion Road, suffered severe concussion while playing for a Marist League team. J
