PROFIT FOR YEAR.
AUCKLAND POWER BOARD, SURPLUS OF OYER £7000 SHOWN. A surplus for the year of £7510 was revealed in the annual review of the chairman of the Auckland Power Board, Mr. W. J. Holdsvorth, presented at the annual meeting of the board this afternoon. In commenting that the board's position had been well maintained in spite of adverse circumstances, the chairman stated that the surplus would be subject to adjustment in conformity with the arrangement with the Public Works Department, which had undertaken to meet 50 per cent of the additional operating costs, and also to the adjustment of the tramway charge.
