STATION IZR.
Topics of Feminine Interest,
The rather monotonous round of the housewife's daily tasks will be lightened in future by an innovation from Station IZR. Commencing to-day, two special sessions daily will be devoted entirely to matters of feminine interest. Between 11 and 12 each morning_ subjects bearing upon the practical side of housekeeping will be introduced into the "Homecraft" Session. The lady announcer controlling the women's sessions has had considerable experience broadcasting overseas and is conversant with a wide range of subjects of general appeal. Experts will be enlisted to give instructional lecturettes on subjects relative to domestic interests, and this session will also include references to market prices, interior decoration, cooking hints and recipes, gardening talks, etc., etc. In the more leisured hours of the afternoon "Tea Table Topics," from 3.15 to 4.15, will include travel talks, bridge chats, social events, fashions of the moment and "Who's who in the feminine world." Even the most isolated women listeners in the country will thus be brought au fait with things of the moment, and the dull days .of winter will be lightened by information and entertainment.—(Ad.)
