Parties Co-ordinate to Oust Extremism. CONFERENCE IN SYDNEY. (United P.A.—Electric Telegraph.—Copyright* (Received 1.1.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, this day. Efforts are being made in Sydney to bring about unity of action among the various political parties opposed to the extremist forces in the community. A similar effort was made last week to co-ordinate antiextremist parties in Federal politics. Considerable progress has been made. The National party is willing to extend the utmost co-operation to the All For Australia League, and the Country party is prepared to enter into an agreement provided its separate entity is respected, and that it has a fair representation in any composite Ministry if one is formed. The basic policy on which all parties are agreed embraces economy of administration as advised by the conference of Premiers in Melbourne, uncompromising opposition to inflation and any form of repudiation. All parties are unanimous that the restoration of industry can be achieved in no other way than by the adoption of this policy. A conference is being held in Sydney attended by representatives of the Federal and State National parties, the Country party, the All for Australia League, the National Union and the Victorian National party. The aim of the conference is to ensure that at the next elections there shall be a united front to the extremist forces, which the parties believe will endeavour, apart from direct repudiation, to bring about the inflation of currency with all its attendant misery.
