MINISTER BOOHED.
Socialists' Hostile Attitude to M. Tardieu. > POLICE RETALIATION. (Received 12 Noon.) PARIS, April 2.'3. When M. Tardieu, the new Minister of Agriculture, motored to an agricultural show at Toulouse, groups of Socialists boohed him. Then they forced a police cordon to follow him, and at the subsequent banquet howled in the street, in the hope of interrupting M. Tardieu's speech.
In retaliation for an attempt by the police to disperse them, they used sticks, stones, and chairs snatched from nearby cafes. Several of the demonstrators were injured.
