REDUCTIONS NOT MADE

At a special meeting of the Hospital Board to-day the estimates for the ensuing year were discussed. Tt was resolved to forward the estimates to the department without provision' for the proposed reduction in salaries. The chairman pointed out that the Borough Council levy last year was £191G, but this year it had been found necessary to make application for £2000.
