SPEEDWAY FATALITY.

FALL ON CONCRETE TRACK,

COMMENT BY CORONER.

"While practising on a concrete track, these young men should wear concussion helmets," said the coroner, Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., at the inquest which was held yesterday afternoon into the death of Walter Kenneth Gouuh, aged 10, who was killed at the Western Springs Stadium, following a crash from his bicycle. A verdict of accidental death was returned. Details of the accident were given by Jack Henderson Wade, who said that during a sprint round the concrete track a man named Gordon fell. Gougli, who was following fast and dose behind, did not have time to avoid Gordon's machine, which he struck with great force. Gough was thrown right over Gordon and his machine, and landed on his head. Henry Redmond Dwight said that he immediately got a taxi, and, telling some of the others to ring the hospital, took Gough to the institution. He died next morning.
