SETTLERS' TELEPHONES.
SERVICE AT PAPAROA. (From Our Own Correspondent.) PAPAROA, Wednesday. At the Paparoa Settlers' Telephone Association annual meeting on Monday evening, Mr. W. R. Betts presiding, it was reported that the year's transactions ran into £833, while assets over liabilities were £1313. Satisfaction was expressed with the work of the exchange officer. " The committee was empowered to permit of the time-payment of entrance fees when necessary. The committee appointed for 1931-32 was as follows:— Messrs. W. R. Betts, H. H. Sutherland, E. R. Jenkins, J. Jordon, E. Evans, J. P. Mills and J. Deeming. Mr. D. H. -Nicholas was appointed secretary.
