HAURAKI BY-ELECTION.
COUNTRY PARTY CANDIDATE THREE NAMES MENTIONED. The "Star" Drury correspondent reports that the Country party will probably nominate a candidate for the Hai/raki seat. The names of three likely to offer themselves for the party are: Mr. A. A. Ross, of St. Helier's Bay; Colonel S. J. S. Closer, of Papatoetoe; Mr. A. C. A. Sexton, of Manurewa.
One of the chief properties of a gas is its expansibility and tendency to assume a greater volume. When a leak in a pipe occurs the gas issues and spreads far and wide.
