CROQUET TOURNEY.
AUCKLAND ASSOCIATION. CONDUCTED ON" TWO GREENS. THIS MORNING'S RESULTS.' At the Mount Eden and the Carlton greens this morning the Auckland Croquet Association commenced its 27th annual tournament in fine but windy weather. The greens were a little "spongy." The proceeds of the tourney will be devoted to the earthquake relief fund. The tourney is being run in two grades, an A grade and a B, the former playing at ■Mount Eden and the latter at Carlton. Following are the results of the morning's play:— A GRADE. CHAMPIONSHIP DOUBLES. Section A.—Finch and A. White beat Wlieelan and Day. Section B.—Davey and Keatley beat H. White and Parker-Hill. Section C.—Hilton and Gallaher beat Coltman and Lowe. B GRADE. HANDICAP DOUBLES. Section A.—Chambers and Carson beat Cliadwick and Cowie; Beck and McDougall beat Solomon and Tims; Bush and Stacey beat Gale and Chapman; Kirkwood and Warren lost to Forbes and Coxhead. Section B. —Gordon and Clark beat Clarke and Thompson; Fletcher and Sharley beat Brookes and Rudd; Gollan and Aicken beat Cornes and Preston. Section C. —Moses and Birks beat Sands and Gardner; Wyles and Maiden beat Harrison and Washer; Percy and Solon beat Collin and Ovenden. Section D. —Broughton and Watson beat McElray and Tutt; Christian and Chapman beat Marshall and Robinson; MillsPalmer and O'Connor beat Ellison and Hancock. Hunt Cup Relay Race, 400 yards (under 13). —Vermont Street A (Watt, Patterson, Polwart, Treston) 1, Vermont Street B (Kearins, Blair, Zambucba, Culleton) 2. 100 Yards Primary Championship (boya under 15), Roger Cup.—Copas (Vermont) 1, Connelly (Vermont) 2.
