NEW NORTH SHORE CLUB.
Yesterday a definite start was made with the laying out of the course that is to be constructed for the new golf club recently formed at the North Shore. Grading and stumping work is being carried out per medium of a tractor, and it is expected that about 50 men will be engaged on the work in the near future.
The provisional committee had arranged with the Takapuna Borough Council to bring the work on the course under the terms of the No. 5 scheme of the Unemployment Board, but it is understood that some slight hitch has occurred, and the matte is at present the subject of correspond . between the new club and the autho in Wellington.
