Zealand championship rowing regatta, which closed yesterday, promise very keen competition in the "main events, V,. AIJ; the present title-hoMerSv-Will v agairf:lsc*c6mpeflng. Cllie draw for 'positions resulted as follow, the firstmentioned having the inside position:— Champion Pairs.—Wairau, Star, Avon, Hamilton.Champion Singles.—"Waitemata No. 2, Picton, Wanganui, Waitemata No. 1, Tauranga, Auckland. Champion Fours. —Hamilton, Aramoho. Avon, Picton, Petone, Union (Wanganui), Star. Champion Doubles.—Union (Wanganui), Wairau, Canterbury, Tauranga, Star, Waitemata, Avon. It will be noticed that Union (Wanganui) is rot competing in the singles this year. Jackson, who has represented the club for the last few seasons, and who held the title three years ago, is competing in the fours and doubles.
