The member'ciiip returns given bv the Rev. W. Rowe'were as follows: Senior, 718; junior, IS4; infant,'l76. Special mention was made of.themarked growth of the new.church at. Sandringham. : In the financial irtatemanx,.presented, by Mr. J. Maginnes, < it was reported that the sum of .£BOO had been raised by straightout giving; in, addition to large .sums, acquired by •■special: efforts. It. was agreed that one official from each _ church in the circuit should ibe appointed to report on the young people's work at the next quarterly meeting; also to form a circuit foreign! mission committee, with the idea of thoroughly organising the resources of the circuit. The members of the committee are to be Messrs. Walton, Attwell, Berry, Pomeroy, Mclndoe, .Higgot. Johnston, Ball and Mrs. Galton, with Mr. Mr. J. Maginnes as convener.' A home mission committee was also formed of the following members: Messrs. McElwain, Ohappell, Walker, Misses Buckle, Henley, Jones, Goodwin, Mesdames Smith and Stephenfion, with Mr. E. C. Walker as convener. Messrs. J. Maginnes and L. E. Rhodes were unanimoi»sly re-elected circuit stewards. The following -were elected to represent the circuit at the forthcoming church conference In Dunedin: Messrs! Chambers, Steinert and Halstead. On the recommendation of the preachers' meeting, Messrs. E. T. Simpkin and J. Walker will remain on probation as local preachers within the circuit, and on Maroh 4 they will present themselves for examination. It being the last quarterly meeting at ■which the Revs. W. Rotvc and N. P. Lareen -would be present, the Rev. W. Walker, followed by other speakers, tendered them the best wishes of all friends within the circuit..
