RETURNS FOR DECEMBER
ALL ROUND REDUCTIONS
LONDON, December 12
The Board of Trade returns for December, compared with December, 1929, show the imports decreased by £10,785,000, exports £19,971,000, re-exporte £2,693,000. The principal decreases were: — Imports: Dutiable food and drink, £1,012,000; tobacco. £919.000; raw cotton, £2,736,000: wool, £2,023,000; other textile materials, £1.115,000; oil, seeds, etc... £1,001,000; non-ferrous metals and manufactures thereof, £1,807,000. Exports: Food and drink, £1,032,000; coal, £075,000; iron and steel and manufactures thereof, £2,407,000; machinery, £1,075,000; cotton yarns manufactures, £4,886,000; woollen manufactures, £1,-281,000; chemicals, £l,05S,000; vehicles, £1,192,000; miscellaneous manufactured articles, £1,203,000. December in Late Years. The following shows the total overseas trade for the month of December in recent years: —
