LOCAL BODY ELECTIONS.
FRANKLIN COUNTY COUNCIL. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) PUKEKOHE, Friday. Mr. James Matheson, of Happy Valley, Hunua, was to-day elected member to represent the Hunua Riding on the Franklin County Council, in the place of Mr. T. J. Lockwood, who resigned. ONERAHI TOWN BOARD. (By Telegraph.—ervrfl Correspondent.) WHANGAREI, Friday. Two nominations only having been received for the extraordinary vacancies on the Onerahi Town Board, an election will not be necessary. The members of the new board are as follows: —'Messrs. Ey L. Whiny, A. D. Weir, H. G. Wilkinson, E. F. G. Hay and J. Matheson.
