SHIPWRECK RELIEF RULES.
TAHITI NOT WRECKED IN N.Z. WATERS. CREW AND-PASSENGERS. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) • DUNEDIN, this day. In reference to the Wellington message that members of the crew of tho lost steamer Tahiti complain that no relief was given them by the Shipwreck Relief Society, the position is that under the rules no relief can be given a ship's crew or passengers unless the vessel is wrecked in New Zealand waters.
