The opossum season here closes today after a fortnight's extension. . It has been a poor season -from the trap? pers' standpoint, operations in the recent seasons having greatly thinned out the numbers, in addition to which is the fact that the mai-ket has been weak.' Tested skins averaged as low as 5/, whereas last year prices were from 7/6 to 10/.
