CYCLIST'S DEATH,

TAXI-DRIVER COMMITTED TOR TRIAL. WANGANUI ACCIDENT. <By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WANGANUI, Friday. Cyril Augustus McAllister, a taxidriver, was to-day committed to the Supreme Court for trial on a charge of having negligently driven a motor car and thereby cause'd the death of Harold Greytown Rush. The case waa the outcome of a motor accident on Somme Parade on August 2 last. The evidence showed that deceased had attended a picture theatre, and was cycling home at about 10.30 p.m., when the accident happened.

Accused pleaded, not guilty, and wa3 committed to the Supreme Court for trial. A charge of being in a state of intoxication while in charge of a motor car was adjourned sine die.
