HAURAKI MILITARY BAND.
MEMBERS TO CARRY ON. (By Tftlegraph.—Own Coirespondeat.) THAMES, Wednesday. Having in mind the recent curtailment of military expenditure, members of the Hauraki Regimental Band last evening discussed the position, and decided to carry on the band for a further twelve months, provided the Defence Department will agree to lend the instruments, uniforms and the use of the drill hall for practice. A committee was appointed to reorganise the band, and "Mr. A. Clarke volunteered to act as bandmaster. It was decided to wait upon the Borough Council with a request for assistance.
